Where can you get Grand Total?
One extension, four browsers and two phones — and right now there is not one of them you can install it from a store in. Here is what exists, and what does not.
None of the releases exists yet. We are not in the Chrome Web Store, on addons.mozilla.org or in the App Store. Until we are, you can work out a list here on the site — it needs nothing installed and gives the same arithmetic, you just type the items yourself.
On the computer
| Where | Status | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| ChromeWindows, macOS, Linux | built | The extension is written for Chrome and runs with no build step. All it lacks is a store listing — until then the folder is loaded unpacked. |
| EdgeWindows, macOS | built | The same extension. Edge runs Chrome extensions unchanged, and the manifest is the same. |
| Firefoxversion 128 og nyere | built | The Firefox edition builds with one command and comes through Mozilla's own review cleanly. What it lacks is a signature from Mozilla, not code. Older than 128 cannot: the key our whole consent design rests on only arrived there. |
| SafarimacOS | partly | Exists as an Xcode project and runs. Two things set it apart: it has to be packaged as an application to be passed on, and access to a shop is granted in Safari's own menu — Grand Total → Always allow on this website — rather than in ours. |
On the phone
Here the answer is most often the site and not an extension — and that is not an excuse, it is how the phones are built. The list lives with us and has its own address, so it can be opened anywhere.
| Where | Status | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Firefox til Android | later | Firefox is the only browser on Android that runs extensions. Our Firefox edition is the same code, but has to declare that it also covers Android — and then it lacks the signature from Mozilla that the desktop edition lacks already. |
| Chrome til Android | not possible | Chrome on Android cannot run extensions at all — not ours, not anybody's. Use the list on the site. |
| iPhone og iPadSafari | later | Safari on iOS can run web extensions, but only packaged as an application from the App Store. That is the same packaging as on the Mac — ours builds only the Mac edition today — plus a developer account and Apple's approval. |
Until then
The site does the same arithmetic: type the items, set the quantities, get the total price with the shipping counted in. The difference is that you write the list yourself rather than picking it up as you shop.
